Project 2

Exploring local architecture or built environment (BE) responses to specific SDG goals and targets

We were given the task of choosing one local building about which we wanted to learn more. Then we had to choose an SDG target to investigate in relation to the building, and then we had to find characteristics of the building that had responded to the SDG. We had to extract and present the SDG goals, targets, and indicators, as well as demonstrate how architecture reacts to each goal using diagrams and words to produce an A3 digital poster.

In the beginning, I had a picked another SDG goal for The Exchange 106 which I couldn't find much information about after doing my research. I had to act quickly and decide on another SDG goal so I can progress this assignment on time. This assignment made me realise how there are many buildings in Malaysia that are striving for sustainability and aiming for SDG goals as well. It also made me learn about SDG goals 6 in a more in depth scale as well as the different ways that a building can utilize to ensure sustainability.
